Temporary closure to new funds (issuance)

The administrator of Atlas Global Macro, MultiConcept Fund Management S.A., announced on 28 April that a temporary closure of new share emissions in Atlas Global Macro will take effect from Wednesday 4 May 2022.

In practice, this means that it will not be possible for existing or new investors to invest more money in the fund for some time. It will still be possible to sell shares in Atlas Global Macro on a monthly basis as before.

The decision was taken in the light of the war in Ukraine and the resulting sanctions adopted in relation to the Russian market in which the Fund has invested. On 6 April 2022, these led the Trustee's independent 'pricing committee' to write down the book value of the Fund's holdings of ETFs with exposure to Russian equities to close to 0, which has negatively impacted NAV.

The temporary closure to new share emissions in the fund is implemented to protect existing investors from so-called 'dilution'. Without the closure, it would be possible for new investors to participate in the Fund's holdings of Russian assets at a price close to zero, even though they could potentially have significant value in the longer term - at the expense of existing investors.

Such a situation would be unfair to the Fund's existing investors, which the Trustee has thus recognised and prevented by this decision.

We will inform the Fund's investors on a regular basis when there is news regarding the holding of Russian assets as well as trading in the Fund's shares.
