Lars Tvede is the Fund's primary idea-generator and investment decision-maker, who, with the help of a small team, continuously screens the markets and makes investment decisions for the Fund.
Jakob Due, co-founder of Apex Asset Management, acts as Lars Tvede's right hand in the day-to-day management of the fund's investments, which also draws on the long-standing experience of the Apex Asset Management team.
Lars Tvede - ENTREPRENEUR, INVESTOR AND AUTHOR
Lars Tvede is a Danish citizen who has lived in Switzerland for several decades now. He has a master's degree in engineering and a bachelor's degree in international trade, and he is also a certified derivatives trader from the National Futures Association in Chicago.
He spent 11 years in portfolio management and investments before moving to the high-tech and telecommunications industry in the mid-1990s, where he co-founded several technology companies that have won various international awards, including the Red Herring Global 100 Award, Bully Award, IMD Swiss Start-up Award and Wall Street Europe Innovation Award.
He is also the founder of Beluga, a successful financial trading company, and has been an advisor to a Swiss hedge fund for a number of years. He is also co-founder of the Nordic Eye venture fund, which is set to become one of the most profitable in the Nordic region, and of Supertrends, which uses artificial intelligence, text-mining and crowdsourcing to track the world's innovation in real time and map its most likely future.
In addition, he has written 15 books to date, published in 11 languages and more than 60 editions. Among the best known are The Creative Society, The Psychology of Finance, Business Cycles, Supertrends and most recently the Danish Bubbles, Bullshit and Stock Market Party.
He has been listed in The Guru Guide to Marketing as one of the world's 62 leading thinkers in marketing strategy and has appeared in the media hundreds of times, including as a guest host on CNBC and TEDTalks speaker.
Jakob Due - Experienced Investment Expert
Jakob Due is co-founder of Apex Asset Management, which was founded in Switzerland eight years ago by a group of Danes with broad and long experience from the global financial sector.
Apex Asset Management, located in the Canton of Schwyz in Switzerland, is the legal entity that determines the Fund's investment strategy and places trade orders with the Fund's Prime Broker.
Jakob Due has extensive experience in asset and portfolio management and a successful track-record in a wide range of investment types, and serves as portfolio manager for Atlas Global Macro together with Lars Tvede.
